Zazie Olivia beetz was born on January 1st, the 1st of January, 1991 Berlin. Her father, an German cabinetmaker, who came into America United States after the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, is her mother a South African American social worker. Jennifer Aniston is also a graduate of the same highschool. Beetz was a student of French at Skidmore College after graduating LaGuardia. Beetz began auditioning shortly after graduating and was offered the role of Atlanta. Born in Berlin to the parents of a German father and an African-American mother Beetz was born on the streets of New York speaking both German and English in the her home. Zazie was a stage performer in the local community and on stage in New York from the time she was a child. Zazie discovered that she liked acting when she was at high school. Zazie's Disney Channel Breakout Role Zendaya's dance abilities definitely paid off. The year 2010 was the year that the actress and dancer finally scored her first major role and that was when Bella Thorne cast her as Rocky Blue. Zendaya's vegetarianism began at the age of 11 when she visited the local slaughterhouse on a journey with her Dad. PEOPLE have quoted her as saying: "It seemed awful to me when I saw all the animals crammed into the slaughterhouse waiting to die their death. This was not how I ate my meat!
