Katherine Heigl reveals that she was brought up in a bubble of white and how that influenced how she raised adopted, multiracial children. The "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress revealed in a recent interview that in regards to skin tone, it wasn't a factor for her how she looked like, but after she spoke to her older sister, who was adopted to South Korea, she realized how different society treated the two of both. "I wanted to know Meg how she was different when she went out with us parents than when she went out on her own. Meg replied "Oh Yes, all the occasion!" It made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to her parents. She said that she was angry and felt that she needed to channel her anger on helping her adopted daughters. Heigl, who has been with Josh Kelley for 13 years and has a son named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide, 8, who is Black from South Korea in 2012.
