Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan-born actress, who was born in Fes. She travelled throughout the world prior to settling to Los Angeles. Pernas originally hoped to become a journalist was a person whose life was a surprise when she was approached initially by a scout for models and then an agent. The Moroccan parent of the actress, as well as the Galician dad have the responsibility for her distinctive look. Sofia Pernas (born 1989) is an actor from Morocco and Spain who lives at Los Angeles. Her mother's origins are of Morocco as is her father, and she comes native to Spain, both are multilingual. Although she initially planned to pursue a journalism career, she switched to an acting career and modeling acting after being scouted. She played Marisa on The Young and the Restless as well as starred with Gina Rodriguez and Justin Baldoni in the CW telenovela Jane the Virgin.
